Fremont, Calif. - June 26, 2014 - Hyve Solutions, a division of SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX) and the first Open Compute Project Solution Provider, has promoted Steve Ichinaga as its President.   Over the past five years, Ichinaga has been the catalyst in reinventing SYNNEX' System Integration Division by developing its Server/Storage/Appliance and Hyve Solutions businesses, and has produced major results to position Hyve Solutions at the forefront of strategic platforms and markets through its role in the Open Compute Project.  Hyve Solutions was born from Facebook's need for the division to serve as the final integration point, delivering fully racked and tested solutions to Facebook's datacenters.

Ichinaga joined SYNNEX, Hyve Solutions' parent company, 30 years ago beginning his career as an Inside Sales Representative.  In 1988, Ichinaga's career began a steady and impressive upward progression through higher levels of management.  In 2011, Ichinaga was appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hyve Solutions and SYNNEX' System Integration Division.  Under his leadership, Hyve Solutions became the first official Open Compute Project Solution Provider serving some of the world's largest datacenter customers, creating innovations like the Hyve Solutions Ambient Series servers focused on high efficiency and lower total cost of ownership in the datacenter, and contributing multiple designs to the OCP Foundation.
