Hyve Solutions Launches High Performance, Flash-Based Storage Solution Powered by Fusion-io for Enterprise Big Data Needs

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hyve Solutions, a division of SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), and a leader in purpose-built, datacenter server solutions, today announced the launch of the new Hyve Solutions Flash Storage Appliance. This fully integrated, shared storage appliance integrates Fusion-io products, including its new Fusion ION Data Accelerator software and industry-leading Fusion ioMemory flash memory tier, with powerful servers to accelerate application performance by up to 30 times. The Hyve Solutions Flash Storage Appliance deploys seamlessly into existing storage networks and scales to meet the growing demand for fast and reliable access to enterprise data.

Utilizing its expertise in custom server design and integration, Hyve Solutions transforms enterprise-class servers, Fusion ION Data Accelerator software and ioMemory PCIe products into a fully tested and certified high-performance shared storage platform for applications throughout the datacenter. The Hyve Solutions Flash Storage Appliance offers a number of features, including the creation of RAID sets, LUN creation and management, SNMP, performance monitoring, and more. Using Fusion's ION Data Accelerator software GUI, storage administrators can deploy high-performance storage to solve critical application issues, increase workload capabilities, and speed batch processing. Database performance can be accelerated to handle traffic spikes and slash response times to meet business objectives.

Hyve Solutions' Flash Storage Appliance comes in two models with a number of capacity choices. All models offer the choice of Fiber Channel, 10GbE, or InfiniBand connectivity:

• 4u model capacities: 2.4TB, 4.8TB, 9.6TB, and 19.2TB
• 1u model capacities: 730GB, 1.5TB, 2.4TB, and 4.8TB

Compute, storage, software and support are included pre-configured with each model. Pricing and product are available today for interested customers with general availability following in October 2012.
